The older we get the more important exercise is for our well-being . Exercise helps to keep joints mobile and the gentle Pilates program helps to prevent injuries by learning how to hold deep muscles and stabilize the spine and the pelvic floor. Working
at your own pace, Valerie will help you build up your stamina, strength and flexibility;
stretching, lengthening and strengthening muscles as you do so. And because Pilates exercises are performed with precision and control, the risk of injury
is greatly reduced too.
Beginners will be surprised how quickly they will feel the first benefits of Pilates - from improved posture to safer bending and lifting - you will learn how to bring the exercises into your daily life. A good posture and good core muscle support will also improve the involuntary body functions such as breathing, digestion and bowel function. .
Valerie says, "Pilates is a fantastic way of life for people of all ages - it helps to establish good habits which together help improve both mental and physical well-being, fitness and all-round health. You will leave my sessions relaxed and energised ready to face your daily challenges! I look forward to welcoming you to a session soon!"
